If you decide to look for camper trailers for sale or rent, think about how you will be using the trailer. Many good bargains are probably available in your area, so take the time to look before you decide.
Camper trailers can be purchased in different sizes. If you need space for a large family some trailers have what is referred to as a bunk room. These are equipped with bunk beds enough for four children or four adults. Often these have good storage space under the bunks, so there will plenty of room for clothes and shoes.
You will find trailers with full kitchens including a dishwasher if this is what you want. Also, a washer and dryer are sometimes offered as a stack unit, and more than adequate for doing family laundry. Larger refrigerator freezer combos and microwaves, as well as garbage disposals and full size ovens are sometimes installed in trailers that have sufficient square footage.
Don’t forget to check the size of water tanks a camper trailer has. You will need one for what is called potable water. This is for drinking, preparing foods, doing dishes and bathing. Check the size of the tank, and determine if it is large enough to meet your needs.
Some trailers have holding tanks so that you can be self-contained, even if for a short period of time. Holding tanks can be for sewage if your trailer has a bathroom, and for gray water. Gray water is disposed of separate of the sewage tank, as the gray water can be easily recycled for washing cars, etc. If you have a trailer that is self-contained, you can use the trailer in an area that does not have facilities, and empty your holding tanks at a later time.
When you are looking for camper trailers think about the size of the bathroom you want. Many are set up to include just a commode, small sink and a hand held shower. When showering in these trailers, everything in the bath area gets wet. This may seem to be a large inconvenience, but it is one way to have a bathroom without using much space.
Larger campers offer better choices in bathrooms. With these trailers you will be able to have a tub, and the convenience of a linen closet. No matter what size camper trailers you are considering, check for adequate heat and ventilation.
